As Sir William Osler stated over one hundred years ago, Far more important than what the physician does, is the belief of the physician and the belief of the patient. thousands of years. We have used our minds to know ourselves and to learn what
lies beyond us. Different views of the circle of all there is have grown from
our explorations tribal belief systems and shamanic practices; Eastern and
Western religions and philosophies; many varied healing traditions; the science
of Newton, the thinking of Descartes and the new physics. We have reached a time
